A diet that is rich in fat contain saturated fats and this contains cholesterol which deposit in the lining of the arteries decreasing their diameter blood flow to arteries is diminished and if blood dot forms it may block the artery when the cerenary artery is blocked in this manner it will stop supply of oxygen to the heat muscles resulting in heart failure.
