hi!!

can anyone please give me the formula for calculating the surface area and the volume of a pyramid

[I assume you mean a pyramid with a rectangular or square shape]

Surface area of Pyramid = Area of 4 Triangles + Area of Base


where, Area of triangle = (1/2) * base * Slant Height
and, Area of base = length * width

Volume of Pyramid = (1/3) * Area of Base * Height

I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT A CONE HAS THE SAME FORMULA FOR CALCULATING ITS VOLUME, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE CONE HAS A CIRCULAR BASE.
